With a commitment to making lactation consulting accessible, we work with insurance providers and provide flexible scheduling to accommodate busy families.
What Insurance We Accept
At The Confident Latch we are in-network providers with the following plans. While most plans under these carriers will cover lactation services, this list does not guarantee coverage or benefits.

- Blue Cross PPO
- Blue Shield PPO
- Cigna PPO
- Medical Mutual
- TIRCARE East
- United Healthcare (In person ONLY)
Please be sure to contact your insurance prior to your appointment for clarification on coverage for lactation services. Most insurance companies offer at least some coverage of lactation services. However, telehealth visits may not be covered. Be sure to specify which type of visit you need when talking to your insurance company. In the event that you are partially covered, you will be responsible to submit the remainder of the payment directly to The Confident Latch.
Don’t see your insurance company?
No problem!
While we may not be in-network providers with your insurance company, you may still be covered partially or fully for your visit. If this is the case, you will pay a deposit at your appointment and be provided with a SuperBill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Deposit Fees to be paid at the time of service:
- Initial In Home Visit: $215
- Follow Up In Home Visit: $185
- TeleHealth Visit: $150
- Prenatal Visit/Return to Work Planning: $150
If you have twins, please add $50 to deposit and plan for up to an additional hour of time for your appointment.
Travel Fees
All appointments include a 10 mile travel radius. If you live outside this range a travel fee will be applied. Fees will be collected at the time of service and will not be billed through insurance. You will be notified of any applicable travel fees upon appointment confirmation.
- Under 10 miles: No travel fee
- 11-30 miles: $50
- 31+ miles: $75
Greater than 50 miles: We will contact you directly prior to your appointment to discuss travel fees.
